Recently, I came across a thought-provoking Christian video that left me reflecting on my own walk with God. Whether the story is a dramatization or an illustration, the message it communicates is one that every believer should prayerfully consider.
The video tells the story of a woman who had died. As she approached the gates of heaven, she joyfully sang songs of worship, convinced she was about to enter God's eternal kingdom. After all, she had spent her life serving in church. She believed she had finished her race faithfully.
But to her surprise, an angel stopped her.
Confused, she asked, "Why can't I enter? I preached the Gospel. I evangelized. I gave offerings. I supported God's work. I served Him faithfully. Why am I being denied entrance into heaven?"
What happened next formed the heart of the message.

WHEN RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES CANNOT HIDE THE CONDITION OF THE HEART
According to the video, the angel began revealing moments from the woman's life that exposed the true condition of her heart.
One day, she had the opportunity to employ a qualified young woman, but she rejected her simply because she belonged to a particular tribe.
On another occasion, her daughter introduced a man who genuinely wanted to marry her. Instead of considering his character, his faith, or his integrity, the woman immediately rejected him because he came from that same tribe.
Later, a new pastor was transferred to her local church. Rather than welcoming God's servant, she became offended after discovering his tribal background. Instead of supporting the ministry, she left the church altogether and refused to worship there again.
The video's message is clear: although she appeared faithful outwardly, prejudice had taken deep root in her heart.
GOD DOES NOT SHOW PARTIALITY
Whether or not the story is literal, it raises an important biblical truth.
The Bible repeatedly teaches that God is impartial.
Acts 10:34-35 (NKJV) says:
"In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."
God does not judge people by their tribe, ethnicity, nationality, social status, or family background. He looks at the heart.
Sadly, many professing Christians still allow tribalism, racism, favoritism, and discrimination to influence their decisions. Some refuse friendships because of tribe. Others reject marriages, employment opportunities, or church leadership simply because of ethnic differences.
Such attitudes grieve the heart of God.
OUR SERVICE MEANS LITTLE WITHOUT LOVE
Many believers are actively involved in church.
They sing in the choir.
They preach powerful sermons.
They finance kingdom projects.
They fast and pray.
They attend every church program.
These are wonderful acts of service. However, Scripture reminds us that outward activities alone do not prove genuine spiritual maturity.
The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 that even if someone speaks with the tongues of angels, possesses great knowledge, gives generously to the poor, and even sacrifices everything, without love, it profits nothing.
Love is not optional in Christianity.
It is the very evidence that Christ lives within us.

THE DANGER OF TRIBALISM IN THE CHURCH
One of Satan's greatest weapons against the Church is division.
Instead of seeing fellow believers as members of one family in Christ, people sometimes identify more strongly with their tribe than with the Kingdom of God.
This should never be so.
Galatians 3:28 declares:
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
In Christ, earthly identities should never become barriers to Christian fellowship.
When prejudice controls our hearts, it affects our decisions, relationships, and witness before the world.

EXAMINE YOUR HEART
Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God and to love our neighbors.
It is possible to appear spiritually active while secretly carrying hatred, bitterness, pride, or prejudice.
That is why David prayed:
Psalm 139:23-24
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting."
This prayer should become our daily desire.
Rather than assuming everything is well, we should regularly ask God to reveal attitudes that do not reflect His character.
THE GOSPEL CHANGES HEARTS
The Gospel is not merely about changing our destination after death.
It changes our hearts while we are still alive.
A believer who has truly experienced God's grace should increasingly reflect His love, mercy, forgiveness, humility, and compassion toward others because heavenly race will surely cost you something
When Christ transforms a person, tribal prejudice, racism, favoritism, and discrimination should gradually disappear.
This transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit.
CONCLUSION
The Christian video serves as a solemn reminder that God desires more than outward religious performance. He desires hearts transformed by His grace.
Serving in church, giving offerings, preaching, and supporting God's work are all important. However, if our hearts remain filled with prejudice, hatred, or favoritism, we must allow the Holy Spirit to change us.
As followers of Christ, let us love people beyond their tribe, language, culture, or nationality. Let us remember that every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and love.
May our lives reflect not only faithful service but also the character of Jesus Christ.

Yes. Scripture teaches that God shows no partiality (Acts 10:34-35) and instructs believers not to show favoritism (James 2:1-9). Christians are called to love others regardless of their ethnicity, tribe, or social background.
